Why diamonds are so beautiful
Written by HeBe

We all love diamonds - they're the most sought after and the most expensive of any gemstone. Nothing hits the spot like a fabulous solitaire! But why is this? A scientist at Japan's Meji University, Toshikazu Sunada, has worked out, by way of a mathematical formula, just why a diamond is so beautiful. This million year old gemstone not only has exceptional 'fire' and brilliance, analysis has shown that from all the infinite numbers of possible arrangements in the universe, a diamond has a crystalline structure that is unlike any other gem. Nothing comes close to the complexity and individuality of it's lovely crystals. Diamonds are out there on their own - so when you buy one you really are getting a unique work of art!
