HeBe Jewellery is now able to offer a recycled bespoke engagement and wedding ring service. We can melt down old gold to form a new ring to your design. Maybe you have been given some old gold jewellery that holds sentimental value or would just prefer that no new mining has to take place to create your ring. We can recycle your gold or source old gold to meet your requirements.

It's no secret that mining for gold has a terrible effect on the environment and gold mining is one of the dirtiest businesses in the world. The production of one gold ring generates a massive 20 tons of mine waste. HeBe Jewellery has signed up to the No dirty gold campaign and we work hard to ensure that the gold in our jewellery has not been produced at the expense of local communities, workers and the environment. By offering recycled gold as an option for your engagement ring or wedding band, we hope to do our bit for producing responsible jewellery.

Unfortunately using recycled gold doesn't work out any cheaper than using new gold and you should also be aware that you always seem to end up with less metal when melting it down. If for ethical reasons you decide recycled gold is the option for you, we can source old gold to combine with any existing gold you might have to create your ring.
